Audio Books to listen to before you die: Adult Non-Fiction

Posted on 18 July 2011 by Phillipa Mitchell

Red Pepper Books has put together the first truly South African list of audio books to listen to before you die!

Hundreds of South African readers have nominated their favourite audio books and we’re proud to present them to you!

The page is dedicated to favourite books in the category of adult non-fiction with a particular focus on motivational and business books. If you don’t have time to read, you no longer have an excuse. Get in your car, put a CD into your CD player, sit back (focus on the road), and let the world of audio books stimulate and excite your grey matter. Read a book a week without having to actually make the time for it – just switch the radio off and drive!

From Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill to Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, to other classics like Who Moved my Cheese and Man’s Search for Meaning, we’re certain you’ll find an audio book here to whet your appetite!

Happy listening! Click here to view the entire list on the Red Pepper Books web site

Brand New Self-Development Audio Books for the Month of February

Posted on 26 February 2010 by Phillipa Mitchell

It’s time to feast your ears for a change!

If you, like many other time-strapped individuals, find that you’re struggling to find the time to file just one nail during the day (if you’re a girl!), let alone take some time out to read, let us introduce you to the magical world of audio books.

For those of you who would love to focus more on self-development but have an avalanche of half-read fiction on your bedside table (and possibly under your bed too!), audio books are the perfect solution.

Get into your car and instead of switching on the radio, remove your teenager’s (or yours) latest Killers CD, and replace it with something somewhat more intellectual.

Within a week your life will change, firstly because you’re actually getting some reading done, secondly because you really don’t care how long it takes to get to the office (or wherever it is that you might be off to), and thirdly because you’re investing some REAL time in yourself and your personal growth.

We LOVE audio books and seeing as February is the month of love, we’re thrilled to be able to share some of that love with you by presenting some brand new releases in the world of audio!
If you click through to our web site, you can even download and listen to a short audio clip of each book!

For those of you who are audio book addicts, drop me an email at phillipa@redpepperbooks.co.za and let me know what you’ve been reading and what has inspired you. I would love to share some of my favourites with you too, such as Tuesdays with Morrie, The E-Myth Revisited, How the Mighty Fall, Blink, Outliers, What the Dog Saw, The Alchemist, Have a Little Faith, The Tipping Point, The Four-Hour Work Week, and so many more!
